Question

Is there a special knot or method that you and others are using to tie the burlap or jute to the mesh?

    Thanks for any info!

Ah. This board shows only recent messages.

So, the answer to the knots. Pull one strand of jute half through the mesh and tie a simple knot like you would use as the first knot when tying your shoe. Once tied you should have approximatly equal lengths on both sides. Don't make them perfectly even, in fact, try not to make them even so you don't get lines in the jute.

Attachemnt method: After finding a few more sights with information is seems you should be putting the "base" color on. ~4-6 strands per section of the mesh depending on the size of the squares. From what I can tell this is about 50% of the total that should be on the square for coverage. Then go back though and put in your secondary colors in order of amount. Once again it look like a total of 3-4 colors. I'm going to use Forest Green, Khaki Green (a little brown), Rust, natural jute in that order. I will probably start with 2-3 stands for brown, 1-2 for rust, and .5 for natural.

I'll post more once I see how this looks. Who knows, it might look like **** , it might look great.
